We are the PROUD parents of Ryder McKenley Patrick, as of last Friday. Yes, our sweet baby boy was born on Friday, 11-11-2011 at 12:36 PM. He weighed 6 pounds, and 13 ounces, and was 19 ½ inches long. We are so proud of our little man, and he is adjusting just fine to life inside our happy home.
Many of you know I was considered a high-risk pregnancy, and so I was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, November 10th immediately following my OB/GYN check-up, to help move things along, and get me ready to deliver the following day (Friday).
Ryder, DP, and I came home on Sunday, and started the task of getting up all night and feeding, burping, crying, changing diapers, etc. We are both so happy (and exhausted) from taking care of our little man. J
For the time being, we’re asking well-wishing visitors to please stay away, while we master breastfeeding. (Why did none of you tell me it was so hard?!?!) We’re getting through it, one feeding at a time. Life is so fun, when you have a little man that looks and acts just like your husband. He is so sweet, and we didn’t know we could love anything so much! We hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Stevie and Damen, We are so excited for you all! What a blessing that he is here and all is well. (except for the nursing challenge, of course and I hope that is better by now!)Stephen and Jeanne were both very tiny babies (6lb3oz each) and 19 1/2 inches long so I know they seem tiny but they can grow up so big and tall! We are so thrilled for you! He is just beautiful and adorable–just like you two!! We hope to meet him at Christmastime. For now, just take one day at a time–sleep as much as you can when he sleeps and don’t worry too much about the breastfeeding–give it time. That’s a hurdle for every new mom–trust me! Us old moms remember!
We just praise God for His tender mercy in allowing Ryder to be born and you, Stevie, to stay healthy! We love you all soooooo much!
Welcome Ryder! So excited for you and DP! My husband & I can’t wait to welcome our little guy into the world in January. How amazing it is to experience how God forms us all in his perfection. I’ve never done this before either so I’ll be right there with you on the breastfeeding!

Well Blessings to DP,Stevie and little Ryder —– When I read your blog I just think thank goodness you and DP stayed so secure in your faith in the Lord, accepted prayers from all over the world and continued to walk in his light for this season of your Life. You all are an amazing testamony to the Lord and his work in our life. We all cant wait to bring food or whatever you need.
